An opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic Abarths - the 'wide bodied' version of the Fiat 600 developed by Abarth in the 1960's.

This example is a 'semi pendolare' chassis build by Abarth & Co in 1966. Susequently the car has been updated to the late 60's Group 5 specification.

The car retains all  the correct Abarth pats, The interior boasts Jaeger instruments and Abarth steering wheel, Modern racing seats and a full cage have been employed to meet FIA requirements. The mechanical specification is pure Abarth with double wishbone front suspension, rollbars, four and five speed transmissions, all the correct chassis strengthening, CV type driveshafts and Campag 7 and 8x13 wheels.

The only deviation from Abarth specification, is the power unit. This is based on an A112A2  Abarth block (FIA eligible) with an eight port PBS cylinder head running on twin Weber 40DCOE carburettors. The engine produces a verified 100bhp and shows good torque characteristics.

This car underwent a 'nut and bolt' rebuild by MBG some years ago (see our Gallery 'Jones the Speed' for build photos). It underwent a pre 2018 refresh which included a new flywheel, clutch and steel Abarth crankshaft.

During 2018, the  Abarth has competed in hillclimbs and track days. Some of the photos show the car in action.

This wonderful Abarth looks fabulous whether stationary or in action. It sounds fantastic and goes really well.
